K + C eloped at Chicago’s iconic City Hall on a rainy day in April. I spent the day with the couple and their families, including their adorable French Bulldog, exploring some of Chicago’s lesser-seen architectural marvels. K’s great grandfather was part of the team who laid the foundation for The Marina Towers and other iconic Chicago staples, and C’s father helped to design the “Hot Pocket Building,” where we photographed the couple by “The Cough Drop,” statue. C got ready at The Blackstone Hotel, and wore a discontinued Alexander McQeen gown, the last of its kind and unique to her. The details photographed include her late grandmother’s bottle of Chanel No. 5, the invitation for their destination wedding in Spain this October, and lots of antique items, which I brought to compliment the overall elegant theme. K came dressed in a suit and tie that complimented C’s classic wedding dress so well agains the Chicago backdrop. I am so honored to have captured this day, and am so pleased that I was given full artistic license to freely create. Peek below to see their works of art, and photos in front of infamous works of Chicago art!
