Planning a wedding through Covid-19 | Chicago wedding photographer

Client Experience

Planning a wedding is stressful as it is, but add in a global pandemic, and that stress is maximized. My heart goes out to all of the couples who have had to postpone, have lost retainers, and are unsure of what lies ahead. If you have been following me for a while, you may have seen me post wedding planning tips, or have noticed that I recently rebranded to shoot more intimate events. As someone who is getting married myself in 2020, I can say from experience that the unknown totally sucks, but at the end of the day, it is all about me and my partner celebrating our love. Cole and I have lived together for 2 years, and plan to be wed this year. The stress of the unknown is daunting, but we are starting to realize what is really important: our loved ones. So cutting down our guest list to 10 people, immediate family only, and saving our wedding budget for a house made perfect sense to us. I want my parents there, as one of them has a terminal illness. I want Cole’s parents there, as they are my second family and I love them. Most of all, it’s about me and Cole. We are excited to start our lives together in an intimate ceremony, and move forward in love and in life as a unified team.

If you’re planning your wedding and thinking of scrapping the original plan, if it feels right to you, I support you. If you’re postponing to a year or two ahead to be safe, I am rooting for you every step of the way. If you want to plan an intimate ceremony to honor your original date, I would love to walk you through the process with ease and laughter. Perhaps you’ve always wanted to have an intimate ceremony; I am on board with you and will make the entire process as easy as can be.
